The Most Votes Received at the Democratic Endorsement Caucus

Ilryong Moon received the highest number of the first-choice votes among the five at-large candidates at the Democratic endorsement caucus and won an endorsement from the Fairfax County Democratic Committee. Out of the 3,244 votes cast, he received 1,081 first-choice votes, with the other four candidates receiving 685, 576, 522, and 380, respectively. The results strongly evidenced the voters’ desire to have the experienced, mature leadership back on the school board. With the endorsement put behind, the campaign is now focused on the November general election. Continued donation and volunteering will be appreciated.

A LARGE WIN AT THE STRAW POLL!

I am delighted to report to you that we won big at the Pick Your Pony straw poll sponsored by the Fairfax County Democratic Committee (FCDC) at Mustang Sally Brewing yesterday.

Out of all valid votes for the six candidates running for Fairfax County School Board At-Large, I received 44.44% of the first-pick votes, far exceeding the threshold of 25%. I was the only one above the threshold in the first round of vote counting and winning one of the three slots.

Granted that it was a straw poll, I felt honored and humbled to receive such huge support from so many people who came out. I would like to thank everyone who was there, whether they supported me or not. However, we still have a lot of work to do to go through FCDC's endorsement process and, of course, the November election.

Many of you have already donated to my campaign, but I still need more. I also need volunteers to help my campaign.
